The Sacred Yes: A Manifesto for Being an Eater
Diet culture has taught us to mistrust our appetites, our bodies, ourselves. What if we reclaimed eating as a sacred agreement with life? What if instead of control, we chose reverence? Instead of guilt, grace? The following is a soul-level recommitment to being here, in this body, on this earth, as an eater. Recovery is Not a Destination
Recovery from eating and weight issues is not a destination. It is not a place where you arrive one day and finally “get it.” If you see your healing as a destination, not only will you be disappointed, but you will also miss your recovery.

“I feel so fat.” “My thighs are disgusting.” “My stomach sticks out.” “My butt is too big.” “I feel huge.” We hear these comments so often, including within your own thoughts. But, these thoughts are not facts, are not feelings, and are not even truths. Even those who have lost weight have found that these thoughts, feelings, and beliefs either do not change or return down the road.
